I had the chance to go to the Mad Decent Block party a week ago in Chicago ! The Party was sponsored by @DieselUSA, Jelly and @MadDecent and featured cool artists and bands and DJs from the area, Chicago being the last one of the 4 series in Philadelphia, New-York and Los Angeles. All you had to do was RSVP online for free and give name and e-mail. Honestly I was a little skeptical to go at first because I did not know very many of the artists that were performing but once I got there I was pleasantly surprised !!! There was a technical difficulty around 4pm for an hour so I am sure that got a lot of people angry but I got there late around 6pm and it went on later until about 9 or 10. They had cool photobooth by Diesel and food and drinks and everything like a small festival. I even saw a pet iguana rocking a spiked necklace WOH. I saw Blaqstarr, Rashad & dancers, Willy Joy and @KidSister. I liked them all except for Blaqstarr, I thought there was always something wrong with his performance and people could not get into the vibe. Either the beat was super and his lyrics were too slow and didn’t follow or he had good lyrics and energy but then the DJ didn’t follow. Kid sister was the last performer and she had sooo much energy on stage it was sick ! The DJ that was accompanying her was the main part of her performance though I think, without him she would not be as big. I even saw @erinmartinmusic there, hopefull next time she’s in it I hope there is another one next year cause I will definitely be there, maybe even try another city !!!
